FORENSIC ENGINEERING
Forensic Electrical Engineering is a specialized field focused on investigating electrically related incidents, with particular emphasis on accidents involving fires, electrocution, and equipment failure. This discipline plays a crucial role in uncovering the root causes of such events, determining whether they stem from design flaws, installation errors, lack of maintenance, or non-compliance with established safety standards.
Our work centers on identifying the origin and cause of electrical accidents through detailed technical analysis and site inspections. A critical aspect of our investigations involves assessing the quality of workmanship and verifying adherence to applicable regulatory frameworks, including SUBSIDIARY LEGISLATION 545.24 – Electrical Installations Regulations and BS 7671:2018 – Requirements for Electrical Installations (IET Wiring Regulations).
By combining engineering expertise with a forensic approach, we provide clear, evidence-based conclusions that support legal proceedings, insurance claims, and safety reviews. Whether the incident involves a residential property, commercial installation, or industrial site, our objective remains the same: to uncover the origin of failure and help prevent future occurrences.
